Cynthia has been sewing since the age of three, when her involvement in her mother's sewing room evolved from taking naps under the cutting table to operating the sewing machine.  Decades of instruction and encouragement from her mother fostered this lifelong hobby.

She enjoys sewing classic and colorful clothing, incorporating high end finishing techniques to everyday garments. In addition to creating new, one of a kind items, she is able to refashion or upcycle existing garments into something current and unique.

Cynthia continues to expand her repertoire by completing trouser and moulage drafting classes from couturier Kenneth D. King. She is a recipient of an Individual Arts Partnership Grant from The Arts Partnership in 2017 and 2018. She was the Grand Champion winner of the Open Class Expert Sewing category at the 2018 Red River Valley Fair, as well as 4 first place awards. She is a current co-president of the Fargo Moorhead Modern Sewing Guild.
